Bayside United Sports Club Inc., trading as Bayside United Football Club (“Bayside United”, “the Club”, “we”, “us” or “our”), respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly.

Many of our members and participants are children. We take particular care when handling children’s personal information.
Where appropriate, we collect information about a child from, or with the involvement of, their parent or legal guardian. We only collect information reasonably required to administer the child’s participation and support their health, welfare and safety.
Parents and guardians should ensure that information supplied about a child is accurate and kept up to date.
7. Photographs and video
The Club may take photographs or video recordings at matches, training sessions, presentations, community activities and other Club events.
Where the required consent has been obtained, we may use this material for purposes including:

promotion of Club activities and achievements;

historical and archival records.
Consent for promotional use of a child’s identifiable image should be obtained from the child’s parent or legal guardian. Where practical and appropriate, the child’s wishes should also be respected.
Consent may be withdrawn for future uses by contacting us. Withdrawal will not necessarily require the Club to recall or remove material already lawfully printed, distributed, archived or shared by third parties, although we will consider reasonable removal requests for material under our control.
The Club may also publish or retain photographs and footage where permitted by law and reasonably necessary for news reporting, safety, incident management or the administration of sporting activities.

We do not sell personal information.
9. Third-party platforms and links
Our website contains links to or integrates with services operated by third parties. These include registration platforms, Football Queensland, Football Australia, Google Maps, Facebook and other social-media services.
The website uses the Smash Balloon plugin to display content from Facebook. When Facebook content is loaded, Meta or its service providers may receive technical information such as your IP address, device information or browser details and may use cookies or similar technologies. This activity is governed by Meta’s own privacy terms.
Third-party websites and services have their own privacy practices. The Club does not control those practices, and we encourage you to review the relevant third party’s privacy policy before providing information or using its services.
10. Website cookies and technical information
Our website or its integrated services may use cookies and similar technologies to:

Where the Australian Privacy Principles apply, we will take reasonable steps required by law before disclosing personal information to an overseas recipient. Information you independently provide to a third-party platform will also be handled under that provider’s terms and privacy policy.

We may hold personal information electronically or in physical records. Electronic information may be held in Club email accounts, registration systems, competition platforms and other service-provider systems.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps may include access restrictions, account controls, secure service providers and limiting access to authorised Club representatives.
No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. If a data breach occurs, we will investigate and respond in accordance with applicable legal requirements, including the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme where it applies.

We retain personal information only for as long as it is reasonably required for Club administration, safety, insurance, recordkeeping, dispute resolution or legal obligations.

Parents and legal guardians may make requests concerning their child’s information where they have the authority to do so.
