What attracted you to Bayside United?

I played for Bayside when I was a junior in the 80s when we played at Cox Park then moved to the current location and I have always wanted to come back.

What does a ‘good team’ look like to you?

A good team to me is a group of players that give their all for one another and leave it all out on the field giving their best.

What can your players expect from you?

Someone that will always look out for them and give all I can to them and the team.

What is your goal for 2025?

To get Bayside back to their winning ways and bring enjoyment of the game back.

DAVID GREEN:

DAVID GREEN:

COACH, METRO WOMEN

What attracted you to Bayside United?

I came to Bayside after my daughter started playing here with some of her friends. Within a season I was also playing Masters football and have continued to coach and play here since. The family atmosphere and community that is Bayside United keeps me here.

Coaching Credentials:

I have completed community level coaching courses and undertaken most of my C-license. I intend, when time permits, to do the C-license again and to keep improving and learning as a coach.

What does a ‘good team’ look like to you?

A good team to me is a team that supports and encourages one another both off and, on the pitch, irrespective of results on game day.

What can your players expect from you?

I have seen firsthand a lot of the players in my team grow from young girls when we started into women now and they have seen me grow and evolve as a coach. Throughout one constant would have been that I am passionate about their success, not necessarily winning all the time, but improving as players to help them reach the best of their ability..

What is your goal for 2025?

Trying our best for back-to-back Premierships for the Bayside metro women’s team. A successful season however will be one where the team is competitive on the pitch and if they are, the results will take care of themselves.
